Privacy
IowaLinks publishes business listings so people can find local services. A listing may include a business name, category, city, address, phone, website, email, and description supplied by import or by the business later.
Photos uploaded for a listing are stored in private object storage. Approved photos are shown on the public profile. License documents stay private.
Business owners sign in with a one-time email link. Claiming a listing can also send a short code to the phone number already on that profile. We store the email address for the owner account. We do not store the sign-in link or the phone code in a readable form.
Quote requests store your name, email, phone, project details, and the consent sentence shown on the form, including the version and time. IowaLinks shares that request with one Premier partner when that slot is active, or otherwise with up to three Featured businesses. If none can receive it, the request is saved for review and is not sent to a business.
Sales outreach uses a private prospect list that is not published in the directory. Those emails include an unsubscribe link. Using it stops outreach immediately. Product email, such as sign-in and quote notices, is sent from a different domain.
A description draft or city guide is written from fields already stored and stays unpublished until a person approves it. A license label appears only after an administrator confirms a trade, insurance, or law record.
Claimed businesses may receive a monthly note about quotes and profile facts, sent as product email. It does not include search rankings or page views. The link in that note stops the notes immediately.
IowaLinks Weekly is a separate email. You are subscribed only after you confirm. Unsubscribe stops that email immediately and does not change a public listing. Weekly mail is product email, not sales outreach.
Paid plans are billed by Stripe. IowaLinks does not store payment card numbers. Admin sign-in uses Control Desk.
